Our news from 2024

St Leonard’s Day

On Sunday 3rd November, we celebrated our patronal festival. We were delighted that Darryn Frost from Own Merit was able to share his story with us. Darryn gave us an inspiring talk about the work of Own Merit and the importance of second chances and redemption.

Darryn shared this poem with us:

Our new defibrillator

We are delighted to share that our new defibrillator and bleed kit were installed on 4th December, outside the parish office. They will be accessible 24/7 via an access code obtainable from the 999 emergency services. Whilst we hope neither item will be used, they are there for our community should they ever be needed. Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising.

Christmas 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us during the Christmas period, and to our clergy, churchwarden, stewards, servers, readers, intercessors and everyone else who contributed to our worship together. We wish you and your loved ones a very blessed Christmas.

May the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds,
the perseverance of the wise men, the obedience of Joseph and Mary,
and the peace of the Christ-child be yours this Christmas.
And the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Be among you and remain with you always. Amen.
