Safeguarding at St Leonard’s

As a Church of England parish, we take our responsibilities in law and as a Christian community to look after all those who worship in the church or who we encounter in our pastoral and social activities very seriously. We recognise that we have both individual and collective responsibility for the safety of all. We follow the Church of England Safeguarding Policy (Promoting a Safer Diocese); our Safeguarding policy is here.

The Church Safeguarding Officer is Martha Asingura, email: safeguarding@parishofheston.org.

If you have concerns about the behaviour of anyone, you should report it immediately to the Safeguarding Officer, the Vicar (vicar@parishofheston.org) or the churchwarden (churchwardens@parishofheston.org). You can speak to them in church, or contact them via email.

You can also contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, Caryn Weber; email: safeguarding@london.anglican.org, 020 7932 1224.

If you have immediate concerns about someone’s safety, please contact the police and Hounslow Children’s or Adult Social Care Services.
